Implementation of our Meeting's  plan for renovation and improvement of the meeting house got off to a bang on June 3 when  Tom Abernathy hammered the final nail into the new shutters -- which marked the official beginning of the first phase of the renovation project.   Scarsdale Meeting Friends  were joined by members of Congregation M'vakshe Derekh to cheer Tom's good hammering; then all went inside to, first, learn about funding plans for the project (and how Friends could help);  and also to partake in a fabulous celebratory lunch!  Blueprints of every phase of the project were on display, and all were given a brochure which describes the project.  (If you would like a brochure, to see the plans or to learn more about the project, please speak to any member of the renovations committee:  Mary Eagleson, Elin Waring, Anne Wright, Alice Clague, Sue Weisfeld, Bob Lohaus or Tom Abernathy.)
