Alba Luz Arrieta Cabrales, a Presbyterian educator and theologian, facilitates workshops on Conflict Resolution, Alternatives to Violence, and Gender and the Bible, for displaced women and men, church women leaders, and ecumenical groups. She trained as a facilitator with the Alternatives to Violence Project (a non-violence program that began among Quakers in New York). She has coordinated teacher-training material on peacebuilding and conflict resolution for Justapaz (the Christian Center for Justice, Peace and Nonviolent Action in Bogotá, a program of the Mennonite church of Colombia). Alba speaks English. She will be accompanied by Val Liveoak of South Central Yearly Meeting.



Directions to Purchase Meeting:

I-287 west to I-684 "Brewster". Take 684 to Exit 2 ("Westchester County Airport"). Turn right at light onto route NY 120 (south). After 1 mile, follow 120 left onto Purchase Street. The meetinghouse is on the corner; driveway is on the left.

From White Plains: Anderson Hill Road to Purchase Street (route 120); left onto Purchase. Continue about 2 miles to meeting house on right (just before 120 turns right).
